Environmental Policy Statement

Vulcan Windows Limited is a family owned business involved in the manufacture and installation of upvc windows, doors, conservatories and curtain walling.

Protection of the Environment in which we live and operate is part of Vulcan Windows' values and principles and we consider it to be sound business practice. We operate an Environmental Management System BS8555 (EMS) to promote sustainability and efficiency in all our processes.

Care for the environment is one of our key resposibilities and an important part of the way in which we do business.

In this policy statement we commit our company to:

  • Complying with all relevant environmental legislation, regulations and approved codes of practice;

  • Protecting the environment by striving to prevent and minimise our contribution to pollution of land, air and water;

  • Seeking to keep wastage to a minimum and maximise the efficient use of materials and resources;

  • Managing and disposing of all waste in a responsible manner;

  • Providing training for our staff so that we all work in accordance with this policy and within an environmentally aware culture;

  • Regularly communicating our environmental performance to our employees and other significant stakeholders;

  • Developing our management processes to ensure that environmental factors are considered during planning and implementation;

  • Monitoring and continuously improving our environmental performance.

The policy statement will be regularly reviewd and updated as necessary. The management team endorses these policy statements and is fully committed to their implementation.

This policy shall be made available to all our staff, the public and our clients. Our web site will display a copy of this policy to demonstrate our commitment to improving the environment

We at Vulcan Windows are pleased to announce the launch of our new website.

We are pleased to announce the launch of our new website, which has been designed in collaboration with Hartlepool based marketing communications agency The Consultancy.

We had been looking at various ways to extend the arm of our experience and manufacturing skills and reach out to more potential customers across the North of England. The Consultancy came to us with various branding ideas and we hopped aboard.

The site has been designed with a vibrant look and features a user-friendly interface as well as in depth information concerning the products we offer.

It also offers a brand new point of contact for our company. Providing forms for help and feedback as well as sales and marketing documentation.
